Shards of Glitter

Shards of Glitter

XRay Doll's "Shards of Glitter" was a featured exhibition part of Head On photo festival in Sydney Australia.

The imagery came from our visual inspirations of late, the surreal macabre erotica of Toshio Saeki, the colour and hyper-realism of David LaChapelle and the constant themes of one point perspective in Stanley Kubrick’s work. We wanted to explore the idea of sex and the mainstream culture in Australia by instilling the help of Australian adult star Miss Phoenix Knight by delivering a unique photographic pop-surrealist aesthetic with an underlying social commentary.
